Penn State

I am honored to be a nominee for the Penn State Alumni Association Council. With a profound dedication to the growth of both the University and the Association, I am committed to our core values of Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Discovery, Excellence and Community.

My broad experience while at Penn State shaped my career in education. Being a leader and officer while in Blue Band, earning 4 Varsity letters in track and field, singing in the Glee Club, participating in intramural athletics, being inducted into Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia National Music Honorary, being a Thespian and many more activities provided me with a base of experience and perspective that has carried me throughout my career.

My desire is to work with the Council to create and foster a shared vision of who and what we can be as an organization over the next three years and beyond. A vision that is inclusive of every alumni from every background, experience and perspective.

Please watch the video below for an introduction to my ideas, and how I will use your help and support in leading the Association forward.

Thank you for your time and support!

Why I'm seeking you support . . .

As alumni, we are . . . inextricably linked to our University.

We are . . . instilled with a sense of service to our fellow alumni, the University, and the greater community of those who love and support Penn State.

We are . . . committed to the future while remembering and honoring our traditions and our past.

We are . . . ambassadors of the excellence that our programs, people, and communities demonstrate each day.

We are . . . leaders in many professional fields, providing guidance and leadership to the nation and the world.

Penn State has been at the core of my personal and professional experience. From my undergraduate days representing our Alma Mater in Blue Band, as a varsity athlete letterman, as a vocalist in the Glee Club, as an intramural athlete, and as a thespian, to my involvement as past president of the Alumni Blue Band Association, a charter member of the Varsity S Club, Thespian and Glee Club alumni interest groups, a College of Arts and Architecture alumnus, and as a Penn State employee, Penn State has been foremost in molding me into the person I am.

Fred Lewis Pattee said it best – “May no act of ours bring shame, to one heart that loves thy name. May our lives but swell thy fame.”
